A.k.a. Pete Gleadall Pete Gleadall (2) Pete Sasqwax SasQwax
"If ever there was a person who sought to put personality and charisma back into music, its Waxfactor. Combining originality, simplicity and funk, Wax's tracks have that much-envied quality of getting you within 30 seconds of hearing them. If there's an artists whose music you hook into quicker out there, we're yet to find them. Having already recorded the Battlecake EP for 7Hills and dropped the "Haunted Hairpiece" track on Lex's "Tile 3" release (alongside Sage Francis, Supersoul and Madlib), Wax joined Needlework to release unquestionably his finest work to date: The Game Face EP. Showcasing just how many skills he can step with, Game Face was an instant hit among the DJs and tastemakers out there, with anyone from Steve Lamacq at Radio 1 to Eddie Temple Morris on XFM bumping it and the likes of Andy Smith, DJ Yoda, Aim, Mr Scruff and more singing its praises. In addition to his work as a producer, Wax also co-presents the Rhythm Incursions show alongside Needlework co-owner Mr Trick." [Needlework Records Bio] Pete first appeared on vinyl with Superdense Child on their 10" "Bedroom Twiddling" (Apeman). He is (mis-)credited as "P. Gladelle." After spending the best part of 10years working under the alias waxfactor, he changed his name to sasQwax in 2007. He is also 1/2 of Ambulance Chasers alongside former Polanski (now Ghosts) multi-instrumentalist , Andy Zuk.
