After a stint in Amarillo ca. 1950 band leader Wayne Johnston wound up working El Paso's KSET and later KROD, where he and his Boys could be both heard AND seen. Bonnie Blue appears to have been Wayne's own label as each of the releases features he and his group. A (full?) discography can be seen HERE at the sadly defunct Hillbilly-Researcher site. Make sure to read the comments in which Kevin Coffee goes into detail on the presence of the concert violins - ala Spade Cooley- on an otherwise western record.
