Ches Smith on drumset and Haitian boula drum; Daniel Brevil and Markus Schwartz (teachers of Ches Smith) on traditional haitian percussion: rada and petwo drums; Matt Mitchell on piano and percussion. Ches Smith wrote music for the piano using traditional Haitian rhythms and structures, with many contributions from Daniel, Markus, and Matt, and the band sings songs of Vodou.
