Weeds grow apace were a Prog-Rock Band originally formed in 1984 in Coesfeld, Germany by Bassist and Vocalist Peter Hillebrand (2), the original Keyboarder Michael "Meikel" Käuper", Guitarist Bernd Kloster and a few then schoolmates. In 1988 Markus Kuhlmann, Guitar and Norbert Nagel (2), Drums joined the group. In 1989 Thomas Januskewitz, Guitar and Vocals followed. Michael Käuper and Bernd Kloster left the group in 1990 being replaced by Keyboarder Gregor Link. In this line-up they produced their only album "Lachrymose", which was recorded in January 1993 and released in October 1993. When Thomas Januskewitz left the band in May 1994 Bernd Kloster rejoined the group. Weeds grow apace disbanded in 1997.
