American songwriter, singer of country and rockabilly, radio disc jockey and record producer. Born October 30, 1927 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Died September 13, 2004 in Perryton, Texas. He was the co-founder of Je-wel Records (with Chester Oliver). They produced, as Je-Wel's first record, the first record for The Teen Kings in 1956 (Trying To Get You / Ooby Dooby).
