Musician of World, Children's Music and Soundtrack
German born Australian organist & pianist who studied in Germany & worked with such names as Josef Schmidt, Richard Tauber, and Alexander Kipnis. From 1938-1940 he was municipal organist and chief study teacher at the Far Eastern School of Music, Singapore. Served with the Australian Army from 1942-1945, after which he became conductor of the Sydney Male Choir, and later the Singers of Australia. Worked extensively with the ABC & was N.S.W State Music Director & Assistant Director of Music.
