Born on December 10, 1965 in Kikwit in Bandundu province east of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ngiama Noël Makanda, known as "Werrason" (or Werra Son), discovers the musical world by singing in the choir of the Protestant church of Cebezo in Kinshasa. In 1981, he founded a group of friends, including Adolphe Dominguez and J.B. Mpiana, Wenge Musica, a group of followers of ndombolo. One of the flagship ndombolo styles of the 1980s / 1990s, Wenge Musica included Didier Masela (bass), Patient Kusangila, Alain Makaba, Alain Mwanga Zing-Zong (guitars), Désiré (keyboards), Titina Al Capone, Maradona (drums), singers Blaise Bula, Alain Mpelasi, Marie-Paul, Manda Chante, Aimé Bwanga ... Wenge Musica will perform with albums like Wenge Musica Vol1 & 2 (1994) and especially Spotlight (1996). Mpiana launches Wenge Musica BCBG or Wenge BCBG. Adolphe Dominguez founded Wenge Tonya Tonya, Didier Masela, Wenge Musica 4x4, Marie Paul, Wenge El Paris, Aimé Bwanga, Wenge Kumbela, Manda Chante, Wenge Reference, and Blaise Bula, Wenge Weighting 8 ... As for Werrason, nicknamed " the king of the forest ", he climbs with Adolphe Dominguez Wenge Musica Mother House, notably illustrated with Force d'intervention Rapide (1998), an album loyal to ndombolo.
