Wiłkomirski Trio was a Polish ensemble, established in 1915 by a cellist Kazimierz Wiłkomirski with a brother Michał Wiłkomirski and a sister Maria Wiłkomirska on piano. The youth group started performing at restaurants in Warsaw, and a concert promoter who heard Wiłkomirskis immediately signed them for a national tour. Wilkomirski Trio debuted at Warsaw Philharmonic Hall on October 8, 1919. The trio had been touring in Europe and Asia, performing various works by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms, Schumann, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Anton Areński, Sergey Taneyev and other composers. After Michal immigrated to the United States in 1927, Maria continued playing in a duo with Kazimierz. The group reunited again in 1945 with a half-sister Wanda Wiłkomirska.
