Will Sin

g, b, 1960-1991
Musician of Dance
A.k.a. William Sinnott Elsi Curry

Will Sinnott (born 23rd December 1960) joined The Shamen in October 1987 as the bassist. He was influential in The Shamen's switch from psychedelic indie rock to the electronic sound they found fame with. In May 1991, The Shamen travelled to the Canary Islands to record the video for the chart-bound reissue of Pro>Gen (now titled Move Any Mountain). On the 22nd May, with the video completed, Will Sinnott decided to go for a swim off the coast of Gomera, near Tenerife. In the hazardous waters, he was pulled under by a strong current and drowned. He was aged 31.
