Classical Bassoonist (1908-1984). Before joining the NBC Symphony Orchestra under Arturo Toscanini in 1937, he played with many ensembles, including Cleveland Orchestra and Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. He was the principal bassoonist of New York Philharmonic Orchestra from 1943-1958. He was also co-principal bassoonist at The Metropolitan Opera from 1958-1959. He also taught at the Julliard School from 1951 until two years before death.
