American lyricist (born in New York City on July 19, 1893, died September 5, 1957), he was a staff member for various publishing companies where he collaborated with composers such as Lewis Muir, George Meyer, Maceo Pinkard, Doris Tauber and Nat Vincent. He was also a charter member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
