William Royce Scaggs (born June 8, 1944, Canton, Ohio, USA) better known professionally as Boz Scaggs, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was a guitarist and one-time lead singer with the Steve Miller Band from 1967-1968, and in the mid-1970's he had several solo hit singles from the critically acclaimed album Silk Degrees (1976). Scaggs continues to write, record music, and tour.
