Recorded 602-612 Bourbon Street, New Orleans La., circa 1955 (tracks 1 to 8), and Associated Artists Studio, 726 St. Peter, New Orleans La. circa 1957 (tracks 9 to 16). Two quotes from the sleeve notes: "Willie Pajeaud more normally associated with the Eureka Brass Band is featured here (tracks 1-8) in a small 'sit down' band setting recorded at an informal jam session on Bourbon Street." "The quality of the music of the Kid Thomas tracks confirms that this (tracks 9-16) was not a contrived studio session and the motor horn from a car passing down St Peter Street heard on 'Over The Waves' is further proof if in fact any is required." Sacha Borenstein provided the original tapes from her late father's collection
