Limited / numbered edition of 300 copies (blue flea 01) this is the first release on our own label, named after 2 or our dogs. Tracks 1-3, 1-4: Recorded late 1993 + released in the summer of 1994. Limited/numbered edition of 1,000 copies (burnt hair 01) all of the covers are individually hand-painted by several different people. Track 1-5: Self-titled cassette, a compilation cassette of first two singles + an alternate of 'Firebursts' (originally from the Portal cassette). Limited/numbered edition of 50 copies (blue flea 02) w/ hand painted covers - given away to friends + people who had written - from July 1994 Tracks 1-6, 1-7: Recorded in winter 1994 + released in May 1995 by Enraptured (4501). Limited/numbered edition of 800 copies (some un-numbered + a small amount had hand colored back covers.) Track 1-8: Two more 4-track recordings made in the same session. 'Smeared' is a combination of 2 different early instrumental versions of 'Green' mixed together. Track 1-9: Recorded early 1995 + released July of the same year (blue flea 04). Limited edition of 500 copies on red / white vinyl. Some copies came with inserts + some were hand colored on the front cover. Tracks 1-10, 1-11: Recorded fall 1996 + released in January 1997 (enraptured 4509). Limited/numbered edition of 350 copies on white vinyl. 'Snowing' is a 4-track recording from the Christmas tape + 'Christmas Song' is a later version recorded on 8-tracks for a split single with Grimble Grumble. Track 1-12: Recorded in 1995 + released in October 1996 (Go Sonic 01) ltd. edition of 500 copies (w/ PDM, HNIA, Godzuki, Outrageous Cherry, Asha Vida, Laughing Gas (2), Ohms...) Track 1-13: Recorded in early 1996 + released in August 1996 (burnt hair 07) limited edition of 1,000 copies - 500 white / 500 black vinyl. Split with Hopewell. Recorded onto both 4-track cassette + 8-track reel. Track 1-14: Recorded spring 1997 + released Sept 1997 (Rocket Girl) 1st 200 on green vinyl. Recorded for a 1997 split 7" with the Silver Apples. Sold on 1997 UK / European tour. Track 1-15: 'Rebound EP Volume Two' compilation 7" recorded + released in late 1997. Track 1-16: 'Jonathon Whiskey' split 7" record released in 2001 / ltd. edition of 250. Recorded onto 8-tracks at home for release as a special mail-order split single with Electroscope, this is a slightly different mix than the 7' version with louder bass and bells. Track 2-1: A 4-track instrumental recording (taken from 'Disco' Sucks compilation CD/7" box on Che Records in 1996) Track 2-2: (Taken from 'Electric Evocations: A Tribute to the Silver Apples' released by Enraptured in November 1995) Track 2-2: Recorded in 1996 onto 8-tracks. Taken from a compilation CD given away with an issue of Chunklet Magazine in march 1997. Track 2-3: Recorded on 4-track in 1996. Taken from 'Angelfood Electronics Vol. One' released on 12" mini-LP in January 1997 by Kake Mix Records (later issued on a CD along with Vol. Two 12") Track 2-5: A companion piece to 'Underground' also recorded in performance. An instrumental improvisation recorded live to 4-tracks in Detroit, March 1998 - taken from 'Six Hours One Week' limited edition compilation CD w/ 'zine released in Norway Track 2-6: Recorded live in Chapel Hill, NC in performance at the Transmission 2 Festival. A compilation CD was put out a year or so later + includes this song, loosely based on 'Antarctica' Track 2-7: Recorded live in Detroit 1997, specially for a compilation CD release to mark a live showcase in London, England on September 14, 1997 for Enraptured Records. This song is taken from that CD which also includes Silver Apples, Amp, Alphastone, Hood, Saddar Bazaar, MVAL, Azusa Plane Track 2-8: Recorded in 1997 + released in 1998 (blue flea 09) this was a split release with Amp. Track 2-9: An instrumental recorded onto 8-track - taken from 'Bedroom Ambience 2' released by Enraptured Records. Track 2-10: Live recording from 1997 tour (taken from 'Keep Left Vol.1' compilation CD) Tracks 3-1 to 3-4: On-air performance. Track 3-5: Recorded in the summer of 1993 - live to cassette. This is an instrumental version with 2 or 3 guitars, 2 or 3 keyboards + a cymbal (the keyboards parts were later replaced with a guitar + bass). This song, along with Track 3-6 were at one time scheduled as a 7" single release. Track 3-6: Recorded live at the Meta Gallery in Costa Mesa, CA on 1997 tour. Tracks 3-7, 3-8: Early versions recorded onto a 16-track machine (only used 9 or 10 tracks). 'Lighthouse' is a faster version with a cleaner guitar sound than the version on 'Drawing Of Sound'. This recording of 'Whisper' is longer + with an extended vocal section. Track 3-9: An ambient keyboard piece recorded for a compilation CD in 1998. Everyone's songs were remixed a bit and electronics added by someone at the label. Sent in song as untitled but the label gave it the title of 'So Near, So Far' which just happened to come out at the same time as our song 'Near and Far' (from the spit CD with Amp). This is the original recorded version before the additives. Track 3-10: Taken from the 'Christmas Cassette' - recorded onto a 4-track with more acoustic guitars & bells than the 7" version, also a slightly different arrangement + more effects on the vocal. Track 3-11: An early vocal demo version of 'Universal Energy'. Some of the vocal demo was also mixed into the final version of the song. Other Notes: Edition of 1000
