The World Column was a late 1960's R&B band whose releases are now coveted by northern soul collectors. In fact, their second single, 'So Is The Sun', released on Tower Records, provided the basis for Paul Weller's Jam-era composition 'Trans-Global Express'. After some line-up changes the vocalists Bob Redding and Delroy Bridgeman eventually became New World (7)
