"Psychic" was one of the choice cuts from XL Middleton's "Tap Water" LP, and its message of unfolding lust ("if you really want it I suggest you let it be known/‘Cause I am not a psychic") made it the perfect candidate for a remix from the original Freak-A-Holic himself, LA electro legend The Egyptian Lover. Previously only available as a CD-only bonus cut on "Tap Water," Egypt's remix is guided by deep, wavy bass notes and sizzling stabs courtesy of Brian Ellis, who played all of the keys on the remix, save for a few elements of the original that were imported into this reenvisioning. It remains a saucy, freaked-out dance floor filler, but has been given an even sharper edge thanks to Egypt's ferocious production and slick raps.
