This project takes influence from a diverse set of genres, some including hip-hop grooves and jungle riddims. However, crunchy percussion and haunting melodies are consistent across the project. Xtra Soula successfully builds on this strong foundation throughout the EP by including de-tuned flute harmonies, effects, drones, beatboxing and basslines, as well as additional synth layers to give each track its own distinct edge.
