Band,
Folk, Rock and World
Dewi ‘Pws’ Morris from Morriston (not named after him), Alun ‘Sbardun’ Huws from Penrhyndeudraeth, Emyr Huws Jones from Llangefni and Stan Morgan Jones from Bodedern formed Wales’ most idiosyncratic pop band in the 70s, and Tebot Piws is still known to perform to this very day if the mood takes them. The great advantage they have as a band is that three of them are amongst the most prolific composers in Welsh popular music, but their biggest asset was the zany humour of Dewi Pws, and the way that is conveyed in their songs. But amongst the bouncy melodic humour is the occasional song-with-a-message which strikes home.
