Yann Paranthoën (1935, Ile-Grande, France - February 27, 2005, Paris, France), was a French sound engineer and radio producer. A former naval radar operator, Paranthoën began working as a recordist for Office de Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (ORTF) in 1958 with noted radio director José Pivin and René Jentet. Aside for his work for the production of France-Inter ("L'oreille en coin) and France-Culture ("Atelier de création radiophonique") radio programs, director Paranthoën has become a prominent figure in the development of French radio art.
