The Yardleys was a Swedish pop band from Stockholm. The band members was Kenny Ekman (song and guitar), Stefan Andersson (guitar), Pär Nyman (bass guitar) and Claes Hjerne (drums). The band started playing in 1964, but then with the name The Carolines. The band won a contest (during a fund raise ”Röda Fjädern”) in 1965, Lidingö. The price was a recording. They choose to record ”Under the boardwalk” and the song entered top 10 on the charts. The band toured in Sweden and was supporting act to Rolling Stones among others. They had no further hits and the band stopped playing in 1967.
