Album US 1937 on Vocalion label
Blues (Piano Blues, Rhythm’n’Blues)
"All issues of C-1939-3 were mistakenly credited to Yas Yas Girl, a nom de disque of Merline Johnson, but as Dixon, Godrich and Rye note, this is by Memphis Minnie. The reverse of Vocalion 03638, ARC 7-09-66 and Conqueror 8922 is by Merline Johnson." - Woman with Guitar: Memphis Minnie's Blues (2014) The A-side was recorded on 6/22/1937, the B-side on 6/9/1937. Released ca. 1937 or 1938. This issue has the early blue Vocalion label variation with many thin stripes in the top half. Later (?) pressings only had stripes on the left and right side of the letters "Vocalion", not above them, and the stripes were thicker. Made in U.S.A.
