With more than 20 years on the DJ scene, Yaxkin Retrodisko is one of the pioneers of Dance and House music in his native country Mexico.Clubs such as Box, Living, Roots, and Stereo Mexico are just some of the spots where Yaxkin has been resident DJ. He has played all over the world – including Colombia, Costa Rica, USA, and the Czech Republic; alternating with DJs like Antoince Clamaran, Eric Morillo, Richard F, Barry Harris, and Alyson Calagna – just to name a few.Yaxkin’s style is very eclectic – spaced out vibes of all genres and eras – from House to Dub to Minimal to Classics. On radio he produced several shows like W Fast Mix 1992, Power Mix (Radioactivo) 1994, and Alfa Dance (Alfa radio) 1995-98. Since 1997, Yaxkin, (as a producer) has done an ample amount of remixes and record productions – including his own tracks and megamixes Once established in Houston, Yaxkin launched Suite 7 Records, a ground-breaking, well-respected record label and studio.He is also the resident DJ of Club Venue in Houston, TX and also spins as a guest DJ in local lounge spots and afterhours.
