Harpsichord artist Yoshi Kazama was born in Nagano, Japan, in Nagano city. After studying at the Waseda University, Tokyo, where he majored in art history (his thesis was on Paul Klee), he came to Europe to study music. His principal studies were on the harpsichord with Ton Koopman at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (1997-2003).
