Yr Ods is a Welsh band, established in 2006 by Griff Lynch and Gruff Pritch in Aberystwyth . In 2009, the band played on the "Queens Head" stage at the Glastonbury Festival , as well as performing at the Wakestock and Sŵn festival. They won the BBC Radio Cymru Rock and Pop Award for the best new band in 2009. The Ods was the last band to play the Maes B stage at the National Eisteddfod in 2012 in the Vale of Glamorgan . According to Dyl Mei , "The Ods are masters on mixing an indie guitar with a modern pop and creating memorable and memorable songs." The band has released three singles - Use , As It All About and "Where the Sun went"; The songs are very diverse in terms of genre: ecno, pop, rock, and even a version of the song Lily Allen, The Fear ! The Ods have also recorded an adaptation of the Green Tracsuit by Geraint Jarman . The first two singles, EP and two albums were released on the Rasal label. In 2015, the band was signed on an i-ka-ching label, with their third single being released on the label. The band was part of the '5' i-ka-ching collection, with the song 'Slow Tonight' included on the multi-participating album. In 2010 the band released the EP, The Ods that Lisa Gwilym was saying "included melodic and memorable songs such as 'Remembering Chdi of the School' and 'Bai' was not TV . The song, 'As Hyn' The BBC and the BBC Radio Cymru Award for the best song, won the song. In 2011 the band won another RAP Radio Cymru Award, this time as 'Band of the Year'. The Ods also won the Best EP EP 2010 at the Selar Magazine Awards. This was followed with another album in November 2011, Troi and Trosi . In summer 2013, the band's second album was released, Llithro . The album contains memorable songs such as "All One Word in Bos", "Pledges" and "Gad Mi Lithro". The album was nominated for a 'Welsh Album of the Year' award at the Carmarthenshire National Eisteddfod 2014 . The band attracts large audiences in their rare performances. In 2015, the band went on a tour of Germany , before closing the National Eisteddfod of Maldwyn and the Borders , on the stage of the field. The band was part of the unforgettable 'gig' in the Monmouthshire National Eisteddfod Pavilion with the 'Pop Pops' orchestra. Also performed was Candelas and Sweatshine.
