The Yugoslav Invalid Partisan Choir was founded during WWII. Wounded members of the resistance movement, that resulted as a revolt against the Nazi occupation of Yugo-Slavia, were flogged together at a camp admidst the woods of Kocevje near the village Planina. It was then and there that plans were made to form a choir in order to afford there victims a new life purpose. Under Karlo Pahor, the men rehearsed a repertoire of well-know partisan songs and presented themselves in choir for the first time during Juni 1944.
