Julia Riabova-Shilovskaja (Юлия Рябова-Шиловская) is a Russian pianist and composer from Baku, daughter of pianist Larisa Shilovskaya. She studied piano with Viktor Merzhanov and composition with Albert Leman at the Moscow Conservatory, and received her PhD degree under Vladimir Skanavi. Yulia Ryabova had also been training at École Normale de Musique in Paris. The pianist gave recitals at various prestigious venues, including Salle Gaveau in Paris, Rosengarten, Mannheim, and Grand Hall Of The Moscow Conservatoire. In 2004, Ryabova became a finalist of the Orléans Concours International. She specializes in presenting and popularizing modern and rarely performed compositions, such as works by Albert Leman, Leonid Bobilev and other Russian composers.
