Yung Milli real name Deonte Lamar Green is a South Virginia native with a rap style that some say my be ahead of its time and continues to grow in the global market of underground music. Milli started his music career in high school recording demos and handing them out. He was mostly known for being e volved in criminal activities from a young age being known as a Southern rap artist came natural. At a open mic at a event sponsered by z104 Milli was discovered by Vodkila part onwer Gordon Bostick. With the release of his first single Motivation in 2011 featuring Atlanta native Doeshun you would think Milli was already signed to a major label but that was not the case. The single was pushed through Dj Rob's (at the time Corey Gunz manager) distribution company 420 records. Copies were sold checks were cut. In March 2012 Yung Milli released Twerk that created a buzz nationally. Fans uploaded there own video's twerking to the song on YouTube which stamped Milli as a nationally known underground artist. Milli had his share of legal troubles before topped the Reverbnation charts releasing original music with a unique sound not usually discovered in Virginia. On June 22 2013 Milli was stabbed in a fight at Virginia Beach hotel. Doctors said that the wound was less than a inch from a major artery and could have been fatal. After his recovery Milli right back to the music and did appearances and performed live shows with numerous mainstream artist, celebrities and groups, such as Bricksquad Monopoly, Rich Homie Qaun, WSHH star Platinum Dior, The Twerk Team, La Da Boomman, 112 and more. December 2014 Milli was arrested before a concert at DC rap star Shy Glizzy birthday bash and was released after 30 days and 2 failed bond hearings. In Febuary 2016 Milli began to launch the campaign for him and DeeHitz (known for his role as Dlow on the Virginia based internet series ClockBoys) record label Money Dope Gang Music. Yung Milli has become a rising star in the hip-hop community and haa the potential to be a icon in the industry.
