Roger Troutman released music as both Zapp and Roger in the 1980s, attaining success with both, the former being his band and the latter being his solo project with one more album around 1991. Two Warner-released best-of collections compiled his most popular songs from both monikers: "All The Greatest Hits" (1993) and "Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 & More" (1996). These compilations were released under the artist name Zapp & Roger.
