Zapway

Band, SE

Swedish Zappa cover band In 1997 Patrick Dahlbom gathered a group of musicians (including music teachers) together to introduce Frank Zappa's music to the younger generation of music students. Initially working under the project title "Frankly Zappa" they put on a few instrumental school concerts. The following year they realized it was necessary to add a singer to the group. after having "looked all over the world" they found Per Lundberg in Kristianstad! Zapway was born and they were united in an enthusiastic celebration of the great Frank Zappa. The magnificent opening night at Kristianstad International Jazz Festival, ninth july 1998, was the proof of an extraordinary successful constellation. Pär Lindqvist: guitar, vocals Per Lundberg: lead vocals, guitar Patrik Dahlbom: mallets, vocals Fredrik Myhr: drums Mikael Myhr: bass Örjan Bertilsson: keyboards, vocals
