A.k.a. Joël Romanuik
Zeotrope is Romanuik Joel. He started as an autodidact guitarist - and some of his earlier productions retain some traces of this under the prepared guitar form or as a sound source. He began Zeotrope as a post rock/noise/drone project and finally focused on the study of continuous sounds. He now makes a kind of monolithic, primal sound sculpture sometimes close to noise music. Anémochorie is his "mainstream" project. It's somewhere between electronica, drone, and noise.
