Drum & Bass producer and DJ from Birmingham, Britain (UK) Zetek has quickly established himself in the world of drum and bass. “It all started in 1996 when a mate of mine gave me a LTJ Bukem logical progression tape to listen to”. That was all it took to have this man hooked for life. The next step along his journey was to learn the skills of Djing and in 1998 played his first gig supporting Fabio (Radio 1). Since 1998 Zetek has gone onto play in some of Birmingham's top clubs including AIR, The Custard Factory & Radius along side some of the drum and bass greats. He has supported many great names such as the likes of Hospital Records DJ's, Friction, Noisia, Chase & Status, Hazard, SPY, Fabio & Hype to name a few. In 2007 the time seemed right to get the ideas out of his head and into tracks. Zetek enrolled himself in a Kubiks Logic master class and after 6 tutorials he invested in his own home studio. 18 months on and he has been signed to (and had 2 releases on) Kubiks label Rubik Records. He also has had three collaborations included on Kubiks Album Blurred Vision which was released in 2009. 2010 has seen him gain residencies at Stimulus in Leamington Spa, Vulture Vulture, Electric City & Hospitality in Birmingham & he has been busy in the studio. With his production skills now becoming fine tuned he is ready to spread his uplifting sounding dnb at a club near you. With huge support from the likes of Crissy Criss on his 1Xtra show, Blame, L t j bukem, Bailey, AI, Nerm & Decode (Radio1), Kubiks & Lomax, this man is sure to go onto big things. Watch out for the name ZETEK in the near future.
