Zimbabwe was a female punk-rock band from Vilnius, Lithuania from 2002-2009. Juliana Lozovska (vocals), Eliza Lozovska (guitar, vocals) and Eglė Bagdonaitė (drums) were permanent members, bass players were Raminta Jonušaitė, Krilas Krilavičius, Natalia Judzińska and Aleksėjus Puchalskis. Zimbabwe performed over 100 shows, visited plenty of Lithuanian towns and villages, as well as hit the roads of Poland, Latvia, Belarussia, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and Sweden. Zimbabwe released one album ("Social Dump" 2005) and recorded a second ("Gilyn" 2008) which remained unreleased until 2012, after a 3 year haitus members of the band decided to release it themselves. The band members were politically active Human Rights activists, organizers of "Ladyfest Vilnius" (2007, 2008, 2009), founders of the NGO‚ New Generation of Women Initiatives.
