Qwanqwa is an instrumental quartet from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, formed in 2012, consisting of Mesele Asmamaw, electric krar; Kaethe Hostetter, violin; Samson Sendekou, percussion; and Dawit Seyoum, bass krar. Their name "Qwanqwa" is the Amharic word for "language".
