At the age of 7, John Hill began his journey in the music industry by beginning to learn to play the guitar, piano, and drums. Pursuing his musical aspirations further, he received classical training in Opera. During his time at Carl Schurz he won highest honors, 4 years running competing in the All City Operatic Competition of over 500 students. While attending high school he was pursed by several colleges including Julliard of New York City. He won a college scholarship to the Illinois Music of Winnetka, Illinois. He attended Wright College then ventured into radio, writing skits and parodies at the Mancow show. His passion and tenacity led him to a meeting audition with the inimitable R Kelly.
