vellaDonna was an indie metal band from Osaka, Japan. Formed on November 1st 1997 by vocalist Seek (5) and bassist GOMA (7), they were joined by Kiri on guitar and NAOKI (6) on drums. Signed to Scull Crusher, they switched to the visual kei label Matina in mid-1998. In early 1998 Kiri left the band and was replaced by TAKO (6) (at first recruited as a support guitarist, he eventually became an official member in October 1998). One year later also NAOKI (6) left and was replaced initially by former Cloud Forestia member Satoru, and later by another drummer called Akira. vellaDonna disbanded after a concert on February 11th 2001 and re-formed in 2014.
