Born: 15 February 1893 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Died: 15 July 1947 in Santa Monica, California, USA. Walter Donaldson was a prolific American songwriter, producing many hit songs of the 1910s and 1920s, several written with lyricist Gus Kahn. In 1929 Donaldson moved to Hollywood and worked composing and arranging music for motion pictures. Inducted in the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 1970.
