A.k.a. Ana Sánchez, Juan Enrique Dapena
Ana Sánchez (b. Málaga, 1950) and Juan Enrique Dapena (b. Madrid, 1949), started singing on “Los Magoz De Oz” trio in 1968 (with Alfonso Pueyo). When they split up in 1973, Ana and Enrique -who had got married in 1970- decided to create the duet “Ana y Johnny” in 1974, following the italian wave of artists as Richard Cocciante. They signed with CBS and in 1976 they released “Yo También Necesito Amar”, with a little success. Another hit was “Y te amaré” (1977), with an italian version (“Io te ameró”). But their success faded quickly. Johnny later was producer in the 80’s (Coz (5)), and composer for other artists, as Manolo Galván.
