4-track ep, an Atarix raw techno 35+ min detour called Opticloak - the core of it is based on sound of Korg DS-10 synthesizer for Nintendo DS, which was used to write the main parts of this ep, layered over with infamous Teenage Engineering PO-33 KO! micro sampler used for drums (Korg Volca Beats!), OP-1 beast was used full force here, for tape effects, spring reverb, synths, fx, you name it and Korg Monotron Delay for some zonal drones, feedbacks and proper hiss dub delays. It starts from raw minimalistic stomper grit “Acid Temper”, goes into the nightmarish moody slow tempo drag of dirt and hiss “Opticloak”, interrupted by primitive bass banger dedicated to a software-faulty medical unit called “Therac 25” (you google it!) and it all ends with an offbeat number called “Low Ranger”, perfect for a night ride in your black polished sport car across neon lights of polluted megacity.
