The primary alias of Moscow, Russia-based producer Sergey Khaninev, Atarix known for being a multidisciplinary electronic music artist. Started out with radical forms known as digital hardcore / breakcore, mixed with heavy jungle / drum’n’bass, noise and hip-hop influences, he is known as a true pioneer of sonic warfare of 2000s. Responsible for the web 1.0 imprint Trutypesounds, had performed on stage, alongside artists, such as Alec Empire, Cardopusher, Venetian Snares, Howie B, Ceephax, Massive Attack, Pole, Amon Tobin to name a few, 2007 was “The Age Of Gemini” - a cult like LP which later closes the era of Atarix known as breakcore producer. A co-op work called “When Nerds Become Knights” revealed in 2012 on Samplefreunde was a conceptual record of leftfield, jazz and avant-garde abstract beats and tunes, which reflects on personal life of artist, unpleasant modern music business aspects and personal growth. 2014 follows with few small releases , various sound productions for independent cinema and work as sound recording & mastering engineer with such clients as Boiler Room and Top Billin Music. Another production album, the quintessence of experience, a very mature record called “Multiplicity”, arrived a couple years after that, just after Khaninev’s multiple releases under secondary aliases (as Bitmapper and Ransom).
