Band,
Jazz
Most of the music is small band swing from the 1930's and 1940's - hits from the Benny Goodman Trio, Quartet, and Sextet, from Artie Shaw and The Gramercy Five, from John Kirby, Fats Waller, Nat King Cole, Lionel Hampton, Duke Ellington, Gene Krupa, Louie Jordan and The Tympani Five, as well as a few charts "cut down" from the very popular bigband version. In fact, most of the tunes were smash hits in their time...a time when jazz was close to being the popular music of the day. Charts were made by transcribing from 78 rpm records.
