3 small group sessions are represented here. Tracks 1-8 May 1960 feature Shorty Baker and Claude Hopkins. Tracks 9-11 August 1962 are from a session led by bassist Leonard Gaskin. Tracks 12-15 are from November 1935 and feature a vintage sextet meeting with ill-fated trumpeter Bunny Berigan, Eddie Condon, and Claude Thornhill. Freeman plays both clarinet and tenor sax.
