Recorded live at Birdland, New York City: December 9, 1956: Tracks 1 to 7 December 16, 1956: Tracks 8 to 15 December 30, 1956: Tracks 16 to 21 Credits differ in the liner notes with several tracks, so the liner note credit is listed in place of the erroneous composer(s) listed beneath a song. Inexplicably Count Basie is not credited with writing "One O'Clock Jump." Several arrangers are listed but not attributed to any songs, while the ELS abbreviation for track 13 in unexplained.
