Having released their debut EP ‘Cast A Shadow’ last year and recent single “Last Desire” to critical acclaim; Coves have already had the backing of BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Nick Grimshaw, 6Music’s Lauren Laverne, Don Letts and Radcliffe and Maconie and XFM’s John Kennedy. They have also had support from NME, The Fly, The Line of Best Fit, Loud & Quiet, as well as Dazed & Confused, Clash, Planet Notion and had a much-coveted Guardian ‘New Band of the Day.’ Their scuzzy cover of Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game’ peaked at No. 1 on the Hype Machine last year and has since been used to advertise ‘The White Queen’ drama series across BBC’s networks. An impressive feat for a band who until recently had been unsigned.
