Vocalist began her career touring with Harry Belafonte, then worked on numerous projects with other background singers such as Vivian Cherry, Gwen Guthrie and Lani Groves. She was tapped by Kenny Lehman to work on the the first Chic album. She also did lead and background vocals for Jacques Fred Petrus' Change project. This brought her to the attention of Columbia executives and lead to the Diva Gray and Oyster album, Hotel Paradise. She resides in New York City.
