This acetate first appeared on eBay in early 2015. The eBay seller of this acetate stated, quote: "This acetate or test pressing comes from the estate of Dizzy Gillespie. These were his personal items from his personal collection." Given the track listing on this acetate, it is most likely a test pressing that comprises tracks that were all recorded on September 16, 1954, as mentioned in the www.jazzdisco.org Dizzy Gillespie discography. Two cuts initially appeared on Norgran Records 147: Silhoutte/Can You Recall? and all four titles eventually appeared on the A-side of Norgran Records MGN-1023: Dizzy And Strings (see label close-ups of that release). Other releases featuring these recordings are on Clef Records MG N-1090 and on Verve Records MV 2671. On the acetate's label, the track "O Solow" is misspelled as "Oh-So-Low". The Dizzy Gillespie Discography on Jazzdisco.org confirms all these details and, more importantly, states the exact same master numbers as depicted on the labels as featured in the images of this acetate: 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1987. The Jazzdisco.org discography also mentions the take number (6, 8 and 2) of the master numbers and states "Dizzy Gillespie And His Orchestra" instead of "Dizzy Gillespie And Johnny Richards Orchestra" as stated on the acetate labels.
