Previously unreleased Eric Dolphy recordings from 1960-1961, remastered and first released in 1982 by Fantasy Records (except B2, "Serene," was first released on 25 Years Of Prestige [1974]). A1 and A2 are first takes of titles released on Outward Bound recorded on April 1, 1960. B1, recorded on July 16, 1961, is the first studio take of a title released on the live recording At The Five Spot, Volume 1. B2 is an outtake from sessions for Far Cry recorded on December 21, 1960, the same day Dolphy had recorded Free Jazz with Ornette Coleman in New York.
