Full-color printed non-gatefold sleeve. The tracklist given on the sleeve, also claiming this was recorded 1964-1977 is sheer nonsense for the most part. The above tracklist is correct. I've been able to confirm the following recording details: A1, C1: Official versions, as heard on Sleep Dirt LP, Studio Tan LP and Läther A2-A3: The Mothers live on Dick Cavett Show, November 12, 1971 A4: Live on KWST, 1 November 1975, Beefheart with Zappa on guitar B1: Complete, from Acetate, broadcast on KWST, 1 November 1975 B2, C2: The Mothers live in Passaic, NJ, April 19, 1975, early show, with Beefheart on vocals B3-B4: The Magic Band live at Town Hall, New York City, February 24, 1973 D1-D2: Demo Acetate, March 1967 D3: Demo Acetate, 1965 D4-D6: Demo Acetates, April/May 1967 B1 is the same version as on Bongo Fury, but considerably longer - 7:55 instead of 4:31. Cut from the official version were 39 seconds just before the guitar solo (slide solo by Denny Walley), 2 minutes and 43 seconds just after the guitar solo (effectively a piano solo and one verse), and 2 seconds of the fade-out. Tracks D3-D6 have been officially released on the Grow Fins box set, however Plastic Factory is longer here at both beginning and end.
