Conductor and bassonist Hamish McKeich was born in Christchurch, New Zealand. He has worked with all the major orchestras in New Zealand and conducts regularly in Australia and Europe. From 2002-2006, he was Associate Conductor of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and is a founder and Chief Conductor of the contemporary ensemble Stroma.
