The Hensley Brothers were a bluegrass band based in Kingsport, TN who occasionally performed at the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, VA. They recorded at least 3 45 RPM singles (per Lonnie "Big Lon" Salyer, these 3 records were probably recorded at Lasting Sounds Recording Studio in Bristol, TN in the early 1970s). 2 of the records feature only the 2 youngest Hensley Brothers (Curtis and Genie). They also feature Wilburn "Wilbur" Ketron, Ralph Mayo and Bill Hickman. On these 2 records Ketron & Curtis play guitar, Genie plays banjo, Mayo plays fiddle and Hickman plays bass. The other single does not list musicians/instruments but lists all 3 brothers (the other being Clint).
