First and composer supervised recordings. Recorded at Jordan Hall, New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, Massachusetts on March 4 & 6, 1991. 101 and Ryoanji recorded live in concert; Apartment House 1776 in dress-rehearsal. 101 (1989) for large orchestra. Apartment House 1776 (1976) for four vocalists with chamber orchestra. Ryoanji (1983-85) for four soloists with orchestra. This is volume II in Mode's Music of John Cage series. Mode will record all of John Cage's music as part of this series.
